Program Description

There may be 50 ways to leave your lover, but there are at least 46 ways to check learner comprehension before they leaveyour training session.  During this session you will learn about 5 different categories of activities and experience at least one activity from each category.  When you leave this session you will be able to identify the most appropriate activity to determine learner comprehension at the close of your training programs, design that activity, and facilitate the activity with confidence.

 

Learning Objectives:

  • Review five different categories of activities to check learner comprehension;
  • Complete a paper-based closing activity;
  • Complete a spoken word-based closing activity;
  • Complete a materials-based closing activity;  
  • Complete a movement-based closing activity; and
  • Identify closing activities you plan to incorporate into your training programs.

Our Facilitator

Deborah Spring Laurel has been a workplace learning and performance improvement consultant for over thirty years. Internationally recognized as a quality trainer of trainers and a specialist in curriculum design, Deborah has designed curriculum for the Open Society Institute in Croatia, for the United Nations Industrial Development Organization in South Africa and Malaysia, and for the United States Agency for International Development in Jordan, Nigeria, Zambia and Kenya. Deborah is an expert author at ezines.com. She was the 2004 President-Elect and the 2005 President of the South Central Wisconsin Chapter of ASTD. She has her Masters Degree from UW-Madison.
