Program Description
You’re a training or organizational development professional, and you know that you can do anything you want with your training programs and knowledge management tools. You can hire professional voice actors to record audio for your web-based training modules, a personal assistant to take care of all the nitty-gritty details, and graphic artists by the boatload to provide you with striking visuals. You have all the experience in-house to help your employees learn about any topic they desire, from job-specific tasks to general business knowledge. Your resources are endless, and every year you have to tell your boss that there is no way you could possibly spend all the money that’s been budgeted to support your employees’ learning and development.
And then you hear the sound of your alarm.
In the waking world, we all deal with resource constraints. There’s simply not enough time, manpower, or money. However, by using the power of the internet and the myriad of tools to which it provides access, we can mitigate the impact of those constraints by working more productively, tapping into other sources of knowledge, and collaborating with each other more effectively.
In this session, we’ll talk about some of the educational and productivity tools that are available and discuss ways to integrate the use of those tools into our roles. We’ll also explore some free alternatives to expensive software solutions so you can stretch your training dollars even further.
