Presentation Description
It is relatively easy to coach employees when they are taking on new tasks and performing well. It is an entirely different matter when coaching is needed to address performance issues. The DO COACH model provides a template for successful coaching in both situations. During this highly interactive session, you will learn: (1) what coaching is; (2) how to coach; (3) when to coach; and (4) when to stop coaching because it cannot be effective.
During the workshop, participants will:
1. Define the three basic purposes of coaching
2. Review the DO COACH model
3. Recognize possible coaching triggers
4. Explain how to decide if coaching is appropriate.
