3 Ways to Become an Even Better LGBTQ Ally

When:
Thursday, October 15th, 2020
2:00 PM - 3:30 PM

Overview:

Have you ever been in a situation where you wanted to be inclusive but you weren't sure how to do it? Lisa will give you tools on how to SHOW, SHARE and SHAPE your way to becoming an even better LGBTQ ally. We will SHARE our stories to SHOW how we are more similar than different. As an inclusivity specialist, we will learn how to SHAPE our policies and procedures to promote a thriving culture.

    Facilitator: Lisa Koenecke

Mint makes me sneeze. I love all things rainbow. My goal is to save lives, especially those identifying as LGBTQ+. My wife and I are born-and-bred-cheeseheads. Volunteering is my way to give back to my communities. As the Past President of the Wisconsin School Counselor Association, I continue to train, present and volunteer for WSCA. I have served on the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) national Board of Directors. Currently, I serve on the Wisconsin Association for Middle Level Education (WAMLE) and who knows where else the wind will take me.

Lakeland University is where I am a Counselor Educator (professor) training the next generation of school counselors, community counselors and higher education counselors. Go MUSKIES!
