With more and more companies implementing work from home policies, social distancing and cutting in person meetings it may leave you with a sense of panic for your upcoming training. Bet fear not, the latest tools available bring so much engagement and interactivity the virtual world you might be surprised that it's not that different for the participants, apart from them not being in a central location. In this virtual event, you'll get a chance to: 

  • See how these features can be used, including some troubleshooting.
  • Discuss best practices for conducting a virtual training session.
  • Learn how you can bring the same level of engagement to virtual training. 

This session will give you an open form chance to discuss any questions, concerns and problems you may com across when converting a training from live, in person to virtual. 


Mike Stefonik is the Technical Training Manager for Sonic Foundry located in Madison, WI. In that role he is responsible for providing customer education and training to the global community of Mediasite users. This includes not only developing a comprehensive online course catalog but also conducting regular virtual training sessions. With his experience as a trainer and instructional designer he likes to think about the way people think and learn when he is creating and facilitating training. He is currently on the ATD-MAC board serving as the VP of Marketing and recently obtained the CPTD (formerly CPLP) in January of 2020.
