Session Description: What is facilitative learning and how can it increase engagement and retention? This session will explore how facilitative learning increases learning engagement in your training. A case study will demonstrate how facilitative learning has been implemented within the two largest State Agencies and learners will leave with a framework that can be applied and implemented within their own organizations.
Presenter Bio:Jason Weber is the Training Director / Chief Training Officer for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. In addition to managing the Training Center, Jason focuses on developing training for all employees around the topics of leadership, team effectiveness, organizational change and personal development. Additionally, Jason works with all levels of management to assist with leadership development. Jason’s background includes time spent as a police officer in both Missouri and Minnesota and in Higher Education as a faculty member and administrator. Prior to joining WisDOT, Jason worked for the Wisconsin Department of Corrections as a Senior Staff Development Specialist. Jason holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Evangel University, a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice Leadership from Concordia University – Saint Paul, and is currently working on his dissertation for a Doctoral degree in Leadership from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota.
