    Professional Development Specialist

    At the Division of Information Technology (DoIT) at UW-Madison, we are passionate about building a culture of excellence through employee support and development.  The Professional Development Specialist will partner with internal stakeholders to establish and implement our exciting new management skills and competencies program. This work is foundational to our strategic initiatives and will integrate divisional processes and practices to support excellence.

    Ideal candidates will have the following:
    • Minimum 3 years of experience planning, coordinating and delivering professional development or training.
    • Effective presentation and facilitation skills.
    • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
    • Advanced skills in preparing training materials and documentation.
    • Ability to accurately identify root causes and recommend viable solutions.
    • Ability to work independently, yet collaboratively.
    • Ability to work with and meet the needs of various stakeholders, subject matter experts and leaders.
