    Talent Development Specialist

    The Talent Development Specialist is a member of the human resources team and is responsible for supporting the development, oversight, and execution of employee professional development and talent management initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities

    The Talent Development Specialist's responsibilities include, but are not limited to

    ·                     Performing needs analysis to align talent solutions with organizational goals

    ·                     Developing, organizing, and facilitating talent development programs, such as

    • New employee orientation
    • Professional development
    • Leadership development
    • Skills training

    ·                     Creation of interactive distance learning solutions to reach Nordic’s remote audience

    ·                     Administering talent management programs, such as

    • Employee engagement
    • Performance management
    • Succession planning
    • Diversity and inclusion

    ·                     Serving as subject matter expert for talent management systems

    ·                     Establishing and monitoring training budgets and metrics

    ·                     Working on projects that may be assigned on an ad hoc basis and possibly assisting in other initiatives as necessary, directed, assigned, or requested

    Skills and Experience

    ·                     Three or more years, or equivalent, of talent development, training or talent management experience, required

    ·                     Experience in developing and delivering classroom and virtual training required

    ·                     Experience using virtual training technologies (e.g., Adobe Connect, Camtasia, etc.) required

    ·                     Strong written and verbal communication skills

    ·                     Strong business partnership capabilities and the ability to influence others

    ·                     Proven ability to work independently and with minimal direction as well as within a team environment

    ·                     Experience with talent management programs, such as performance management, employee engagement, and succession planning, preferred 

    Compensation and Additional Details

    ·                     Position is located in Nordic's home office in Madison, WI

    ·                     Salary will be based on skills and experience
